The short version
Buy art you love. We'll make it well and ship it carefully. Generative prints are truly unique—once claimed, that variation is yours alone forever.
These terms govern your use of ORIGEN and your purchases from us. By using our site or placing an order, you agree to these terms. ORIGEN is operated by objkt AG ("we", "us", "our").
Our products
Two types of prints
Curated prints are open edition works from talented artists. If you love the piece, you can have it—there's no artificial scarcity.
Generative prints are algorithmically created 1/1 originals. Each variation can only be purchased once, ever. When you claim it, that specific piece becomes exclusively yours.
What you see
We do our best to show products accurately, but screen colors vary. All prints are produced using professional color calibration for the truest possible reproduction.
Availability
Everything is made to order. Specific sizes, frames, or artworks may become unavailable without notice.
Orders and payment
Placing an order
By ordering, you confirm that:
- You're at least 18 (or have parental consent)
- Your information is accurate
- You have authority to use your payment method
Acceptance
Your order is an offer to buy. We confirm receipt, but the contract is formed when we ship your order. We reserve the right to decline orders.
Pricing
Prices are shown in your selected currency and include applicable taxes where required. Shipping is calculated at checkout.
Payment
Charged at time of order through secure payment processing. We accept major cards and other methods shown at checkout.
Generative prints—special terms
This matters. When you purchase a generative print:
You own the physical print. It's yours to display, gift, or resell as you choose.
The variation is locked to you. No one else can ever purchase that exact algorithmic output. It exists for you alone.
Intellectual property remains with the artist and ORIGEN. You cannot reproduce, mint, license, or commercially exploit the artwork without written authorization.
No returns on generative prints (except for damage). Because each piece is unique and cannot be resold, generative prints cannot be returned for any other reason.
Intellectual property
All content—artwork, text, graphics, code—is owned by us, our artists, or licensors and protected by intellectual property law.
You may not:
- Reproduce or distribute without authorization
- Use our trademarks without permission
- Scrape or extract data from our site
What you get: When you buy a print, you receive a personal, non-commercial license to display the physical artwork. This doesn't transfer copyright or IP rights.
Shipping and delivery
Full details in our Shipping & Returns policy. Key points:
- Production: 2-4 business days
- We ship from the facility closest to you
- Risk transfers to you upon carrier delivery
- You'll receive tracking information
Returns
Full details in our Shipping & Returns policy. Key points:
- Returns only for damaged or defective items
- Contact us within 14 days with photos
- Generative prints cannot be returned (except if damaged)
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Our total liability is limited to the purchase price of your order
- We're not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
- We're not liable for circumstances beyond our reasonable control
This doesn't affect your statutory consumer rights.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Swiss law. Disputes are subject to the courts of Zug, Switzerland, unless consumer protection laws provide otherwise.
Changes
We may update these terms. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
Entire agreement
These terms, plus our Privacy Policy and Shipping & Returns policy, are the complete agreement between us.
